I've weathered some Typhoons but nothing close to a Cat 5. Looks to be pretty bad.

In west palm beach, in a forklift business on military trail next to the bail bondsman....... across the street from the fireworks store one half block from the strip club.     

Everything you need is within walking distance.

Anyway, we had a bottle rocket war over military trail during the eye.

Just read the storm right now has sustained winds to 175mph.

"As of the latest information provided by the National Hurricane Center, Hurricane Melissa now has maximum sustained winds of 175 mph with some higher gusts, and some fluctuations in strength are likely as the storm slams Jamaica with a deadly storm surge, life-threatening and catastrophic flash flooding and landslides, and destructive winds."

Only place safe from flash flooding is the very top of a mountain..........where gusts will be 215mph.

Jamica has a lot of criminals running around unless that has changed.  Knew of a couple kidnap then robbed.  Going to be tough to get the huge amount of help they will need.

One forecaster said they expect no structures to survive in mountainous areas.  Wind is expected to be 30% higher there.

I knew someone who had a hand crafted house/fortress on a mountain side. Some are great people, but ya, crime is an issue.

Crime is now an issue in Belize too. More tourist, more crime on them.

Last time I passed through Jamaica, we sat in the plane because anyone that got out was strip searched. The plane was encircled by armed military/police. That was 1969 and we were on our way to Caracas Venezuela for a Brown & Root project.

Jamaica has the same type of problems that Compass Point Studios had.
