The killing of the K9 really touches me. I have been around dogs my whole life they make things so much better. To have a dog who will work with you, guard you, fight for you is surely a treasure. As time has past I can see being a LEO would not have worked for me. Someone shoots your K9 or your partner in my world their is only one solution. Good news is suspect didn't survive his arrest. Would it be wrong for the officers each put a round in the suspect?

Yes dummy it would be wrong but you already know that.

Criminals are protected. More so in cities. That is why they have more crime. In Houston they have a few judges who are criminals. They still sit on the bench. It is acceptable in the big cities, even in Texas.

Battle of Fallujah 2/7 Cav was told anything in front of you was an enemy combatant, anyone wounded and behind you was to be treated medically. So as they moved up they would put two rounds into each person who was on the ground eliminating need for medical aid. I see using this principal on someone who Has killed your K9 or partner to be a good idea.

Not if the suspect was still a threat.
How you treat animals reveals a lot about your character.

If you don't like dogs I probably won't like you.

For those reading this who have never taken a human life, you can discuss the morals of this action until the cows come home.
For those reading this who have taken a human life, you already know the answer.
I do like dogs. I prefer miniature giraffes as pets.
