This is the cheapest of the VKB joysticks. The more expensive ones have hats and buttons.
My last two joysticks were the t1600 by thrustmaster. Both died of trigger failure. The quality of thrustmaster products seems to be on the decline. That is why I chose VKB.
I ordered it from the VKB USA supplier. There are suppliers in other countries. I got it in about a week during busy black friday and cyber monday shipping times.
Comparing VKB Vs Thrustmaster T1600 series
Grip: The VKB has more buttons and a better tactile feeling hat switch and triggers. The VKB grib is larger almost too large for my hand but I have say a medium hand. Grip build is much less plastic feeling than the 1600. The trigger on the VKB is excellent.
Base: The t1600 has more base buttons than the WWII NXT The VKB buttons are easier to feel and are different style buttons. Note too you can add on to the VKB NXT by attaching other button-levers sets to the VKB base without the need of adding another USB cable to your PC.
The feel in flight or tanking. The T1600 is good but the VKB with it's supplied three spring sets and ball bearing is better in my opinion.
If your T1600 is still working then you might wait on the VKB but if it gives you problem then in my opinion the VKB is the way to go.
