Nash did a set from Hostile Shores.. here's one I did for that "screenshot contest" thing or whatever Moose11 started...

The filter is by DigiEffects and is called "Aged Film" and works with PSP... not sure if it works with Photoshop?
Anyways, here's a link so you can download it: http://www.btinternet.com/~daniel.warom/AGEDFILM.8BF (http://www.btinternet.com/~daniel.warom/AGEDFILM.8BF)

Could one of you direct me to the post he stated how to do that? (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif) ty

Actually it was a squaddie of Mitsus who did it originally.
If you have a shot you want converted post it or zip and mail it to me.

Yes Aged Film plug was originally written for Photoshop, you can acheive the same results using another technique.

Me being the idiot here, but how do you use the filter? I've got it downloaded, stuck it in the plugins folder I have, and nothing shows up. <scratches head> some help would be nice.

Actually I believe that Eagler is thinking of a post by Sundog. It include some sepia toned images for JG5 "Eismeer".

SeaWulfe, it doesn't work with PSP only with Photoshop. I just checked their web site and it's listed under Photoshop Plugins. It won't show up in Paint Shop Pro at all, and when a friend tried it he said it only works in Photoshop. Plus it won't show up with Photoshop 5.5, at least my copy of it. I've got other filters in there, but Aged Film refuses to show itself.

SeaWulfe,
Too much noise in the picture, even Russian low quality films gave better pictures then what you made (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/wink.gif)
Here is something I did in Photoshop. I'm at work so I didn't spend time adding scratches and other nifty stuff you can find on WW2 pictures. Simply added noice and then applied Median of 3 to blur it all. 1 minute job (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/biggrin.gif)

Small pics from my D-Hog ride:
First a pic from that Niki's guncam:
I bet that fellow was pissed off because that D-Hog was still capable to fly home without wingtips, ailerons and with only one flap (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/biggrin.gif)
Well I headed back home as fast as I could. Guess paint was still wet because... well.. Look at yourself (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/wink.gif)

Try Adobe Streamline if you wanna convert photos to line-art/.ai vector files. It's an old program, might even be get-for-freeware by now. Still, it can produce some very interesting things.
