I have that picture in one my books. Heres some info about the picture (just going off the top of my head)- The B17 that lost part of its tail went into an ever steepening dive and none of the crew bailed out.

Correct, have the same thick picture book, explain the dire consequences.

and who was at fault, the dropper,or the one that got hit?? guess this is wot happens when you don't keep formation...
