Title: Torpedo 8 shots
Post by: Fury on August 31, 2001, 11:35:00 PM
Not sure how this works, it's the first time I've ever posted pics of my own.  My 15 year old showed me how to do it at homestead, here is the link.  The pic quality is not as good as it looks on my machine tho     :(

It was a lot of fun.  The fourth shot is the one I like the best.

Torpedo 8 (http://furypics.homestead.com/ahpics.html)

(I do have the BMPs, also have it on film and can retake without the clutter)

I'm not sure -- I didn't install the DX8 beta until Saturday morning, so it's not that...I know we were never above 15k...I am running AH at the highest resolution, maybe that has something to do with it?

Wether horizon is round is most likely because of range settings. I asume you are running SHIFT F1 (furthest away). Running anything closer will probarly (not sure) result in squares.

Yeah shift F1 F2 and F3 are all different graphics levels it seems, i run the 'jagged edge' one for more frame rate   :)

SHIFT F1 = Far Distance and High detail level all over that distance.

SHIFT F2 = Same Distance as SHIFT F1 but details level such as airfields, fields, towns etc doesn't show up untill pretty close.

SHIFT F3 = Close Horizon distance, you will see the terrain disapiering and turn into water very close. Jagged edge.
