Here's a series from Big Week frame 1:

Postgate Red flight of the 63rd Fighter Squadron led by Ammo pursues 2 German Focke Wulf 190 fighters.  1 of the enemy wisely split-esses out while the 2nd continues his attack on a B-17:

A hail of 50 caliber armor piercing incendiaries from Ammo quickly turns the enemy into raging fireball:
