Dudes,
I finished the small field map (http://www.geocities.com/raxman.geo/images/small.jpg) about 4 hours ago and as I started on the Vehicle base map I realised you can't tell the altitude of the vehicle bases, (tanks are always at ground level so they don't have altimeters fitted =).
I've had to fly to each vehicle base and land there to get the altitude which takes a bit longer to gather the altitude information. In the meantime I've created the Vehicle Base Map (http://www.geocities.com/raxman.geo/images/vehicle.jpg), without altitude information. The Large field map (http://www.geocities.com/raxman.geo/images/large.jpg) and medium field map (http://www.geocities.com/raxman.geo/images/medium.jpg) are available from the same site.
Next I'll be building the arena map and then factory and city maps. Does anyone have a list of the grid locations for the factories? A simple direction from a base, (ie. WSW of A20 at 5 miles is a fuel refinery), would be helpfull too. When I formally publish these maps I'll give credit to anyone who helped out with the locations.
In the process of creating the maps I have wandered across 4 factories:
WSW A20, 5 miles, Refinery
SW A20, 15 miles, Ammunition, (I think)
SE V52, 5 Miles, AAA factory, (I think)
SE V61, 10 Miles, City
It's 3am, time to sleep but I'll check back to this thread for replies tomorrow, (err today =).

excellent work raxx
only suggestion I could make would be to include which spawn point is which (.fly 1 .fly 2 etc)

Hmm... in the screen shot Heater posted... does that actually read "Victory 1 by toejamty"? Or are my eyes just bugged out from staring at this dang monitor all day...
And, how are you getting those nice large numbers on yer in-flight map? Mine shows a barely ledgible serif font... or, was this part of today's patch?
-
that's victory by Shifty and the new look of field labels is part of the patch
That factory complex Heater is showing is a radar factory.

I love you man!
