Today I saw a f4u flyn though ack with no hits and later saw a spitty doing the same. ACK zeroed in and yet saw no flashes. It took fighters to bring down both these planes. Was chasin a 17 in a p-51 and it seem to climb faster then the 51!!! Got up to 30+k before I ran outa gas. Never got to same alt as 17 yet climbing at ROC 3.5!!!
What am I missing here??? Everytime am in a 17 lucky to ROC at 1k, and everytime I get near ack means sure death!!! I have never seen this before, am amazed!!!
I can only think that ack is real weak now.

You can fly through ACK alright if you don't fly straight... but the ROCky B17 ? No idea...

maybe is not the point but make sure that u have 25%fuel on board (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif)

Hmmmm, generaly a turning plane would lose "e" and be easy prey for ack?!?! An F4u vultching, flying straight wouldn't be hit by ack,is that true? I have never seen this before today!!

lately ack seems to have a harder time tracking a FAST moving target .. i've had some kills lately where folks hid in the ack and i just swept thru at 400IAS .. it's just the lin up and then when you get out of the ack area that poses a li'll threat as your crossing speed (through their sights) decreases...

Tech question - is ack hits detected by server or FE ? I actually think it might be the FE which would be susceptible to hacking.
