Title: Which New 1.09 Plane are you going to fly first?

After clearing the skies from nikis, i'll land my spit and alt-tab out. Then I'll stare at the BBS and hit reload until i see that the CT forum announces a "Battle of Britain" setup...

They have to model the float carbs on the Spit I and Hurri I. Wouldn't possibly be right otherwise.

HTC did not specify when or in what version they would be adding the new bomber stuff. People have just been assuming it would be in 1.09

I think it is great we are getting some good scenario planes.

You are ABSOLUTELY guaranteed of a BoB setup in the CT as soon as these planes come out. With the updated Europe map with new Strat targets, convoys, barges, etc. etc.

And it will help out our Med setups too since the 109E, 110C and Hurri I were used down there a lot.

I'm hoping the 'surprise' plane is a Stuka... :)

Post by: Karnak on January 14, 2002, 02:34:56 AM: Another thing to note is that the Spifire MkIa has cloth alirons. These significantly reduced its roll rate. The Bf109 should handily out roll the Spit MkIa.

The buff formations and bombsite and bomb drift stuff is what I understood his interview with Sabre to mean.

Htc should keep developing strat and buff model till its in a state where 4 eng can be used in a more "real" state then what we currently have before he releases another 4 eng buff....imho

Just keep churning out the early and early-mid birds.

The way I understand is that a 4 eng buff takes some work to get out. If htc can turn out a f4f p40 a36 to 1 b24 well fek a 24.

A twin eng Soviet buff would be nice to compliment the vvs set but we'll see. or even a b25 for the us...........

I am personnally happy as all hell HTC finally introduces a 110 :)

110g2 next
210/410 after that and thats all i'll need (whoops really need a G6/AS but I can live with out it)

brewster buffalo for the fins would be one hell of a surprise. imagin the joy on this board if one was introduced.....:)

AVG markings of course.

Im real glad to see these introductions myself and the fact that pyro has said its to 'fill out' the plane set to cover more of the war heartens me for the simple reason that there is more chance taht each country will get a wider selection of planes if we get more early war stuff.
Id be very suprised if the P40 wasnt included for the american players as all other aircraft were before america 'officially' joined the war.I can understand some American players sighing with disinterest.

But hey! im a brit and i DONT CARE!!!! :D

First of all,the first plane I will take up into the wild blue skies is the Spitfire I,and then the Hurricane I.:) I'd rather shoot down the other's into the water's of the cold English Channel,using the new euro map that is.:p I may be an American,but the Battle of Britain is one of the most popular war's during WWII.And of course it was us American's who did save you Brit's from defeat.No affense to you Brit's (Hazed) out there.But I have to give you mate's some serious credit for holding your own when we American's weren't in the war yet.(Moving On Now)

I still don't see my Hawk 81A-2.:mad:Where is it HTC?This is one of the model's flown by "The Flying Tigers""Hell's Angel's".I'll even post a picture of it if you would like(If I can figure out how to that is).I would also like to see the P-40E. Hope one of these will be a surprise in version 1.09!! We'll just have to see eh?

Unless of course you mean those supplies that we bought from you. Very generous allowing Britain to purchase those supplies and kick starting Americas economy;)

If you mean with all the supplies during BoB lets look at it like this. Your friend has been surrounded by by 10 large men and are about kick the living daylights outta him. You toss him a baseball bat and say "there you go then" and run off. If he manages to survive this encounter would you then go around saying " Man, i really saved your ass". I'm sure your friend would disagree.

The Fighter Pilots that fought and lived/died in the BoB saved Britain, not America

Just my opiniion thats all:D

He did say something about bomber enhancements in 1.09. I didn't know if he was talking about the '4 bomber wing' thing.
