I think it's superbly done. It's very subtle actually...
Not enough to disorient you, but enough to give ya an indication that, yeah, yer actually firing and yeah, it IS affecting yer plane.
Just like the head movement thing... it's very subtle, and you begin to not even notice it consciously... but yet it's one more tiny detail that adds to the immersion.
Nice touch.

I dont use a gunsite. So i never noticed it, until i read about it on the board (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif). Someone wake easymo, when his moneys gone.

Love it (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/biggrin.gif)

Not to mention transonic drag stuff and the compressibility shake.
Missed an AR 234 in my TA-152 due to it (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/biggrin.gif)

I enjoy it and it may have a lasting effect on the spray and pray from 1K shooters (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/wink.gif) I'm not sure hub cannons should have this and I also wonder if 20mm would, or should, be worse than .50 cal mg's.

I think it's very well done. I didn't really notice it until someone pointed it out to me.
The transsonic drag and compression shake is VERY nice. This should make it more difficult for folks to dive their planes into compressibility and still kill you by flying the trim. I like it. Cany any of you who fly the 109 or the N1k2 confirm that it's different flying the trim in compression? It's obviously going to be tough to shoot, but does it affect your control much? When I hit it in the 51B it scared the living crap out of me. Almost as much as when I heard HT say "CHECK SIX" in that spooky computerized voice!

Very happy with gunshake and the transonic thing, experienced the transonic thing when diving on a 234, also caught him in a TA152, but when I hit that 'special speed', the A/C noticibly slowed due to drag!
Excellent release!

Guy gets on 1 last night and starts compaining that the shaking is wrecking his accuracy...LOL
ya and you point is?
Must be hard to ballance though. Mounting strenght and AC size vs recoil and weapon weight...
-
I don't like it, because it doesn't effect the plane.
The cockpit art just shakes around the aim point...never chaning. In the case of G forces the pilot moves around from the forces with the plane remaining stable, but with recoil/gun shaking the plane should be moving to the vibrations as well...
Compression buffet is pretty cool though.

Pretty cool. After the first 30-45 minutes thoug, I didn't even notice it anymore. Thumbs up.

Zipp,
Totally agree, noticed it the first couple of times I fired the guns, then after that I barely noticed it. It seems to be pretty good though.
I did some strafing of GV's last night and it's more apparant when used against a ground target like that. You actually tend to compensate a little more against a still vehicle on the ground (or at least I did).
Still, a sweet addition that I wasn't expecting.

I also love it.

Hehehe.. was just going to ask if anyone knew if the transsonic effect was cockpit only... when it occured to me that it had better be... unless theire FE is sending direction packets realtime and constantly.
I didn't notice the effect making the trim tabs more/less effective. I used trim to come out of comrpession once and it seemed to be similar in effect.. though the cockpit was rumbling away.
