Title: Please help...I'm new to this version, havent played in like a year!

I start up Aces High, with the same resolution as my desktop, and my mouse refreshes every couple of seconds. It is absolutely useless to have this game if you cant run it with 160 megs of RAM!

Its not you RAM, its your video card.  That ATI has 8M of VRAM, I believe.  I had the same chip on a motherboard from Gateway and the same problem.

I would suggest looking into at least a nvidia geforce 2 mx w/ 32M.  Will do worlds of good for you.

But I had a previous version of Aces High, and had great frames...here, I cant even get past the splash screen!

I'm upset :(

AH now uses DirectX 8. Its also more Vid card/mem intensive due to some graphic ungrades that Pyro and HT have done. That Vid card will rot for most newer games. You might as well fork over some cash for a newer one.
