Major William 'Bill" J. Jordan, JR ( U.S.A.F. RET)
During WW2 he was an Ace Pilot credited with destroying 6 1/2 enemy aircraft. Nicknamed 'Lucky' for
the name on his P-47 Thunderbolt .He flew 200 missions
with the 352nd FighterSquadron, 353rd Fighter Group 8th Air Force in Europe. Completing two tours of duty with the same aircraft.
In Korea he flew a P51 Mustang on 100 missions with
the 40th Fighter Squadron, 35th Fighter Group, 5th
Air Force. He was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross
with three Bronze Clusters and the Air Medal with three
Silver Clusters.
He completed his final tour of duty on Jan.14th 2002
He will be lovingly remembered and missed by his
wife of 57 yrs Blanche; children: Carol Bullock (Paul)
Connie Crawford (Bob) William J. Jordan III (katherine)
Colin Allenby (Eda );grandchildren :Shawn (Debbie)
and Drew Allenby.
He was 80 yrs old
