Pretty sure I'll be getting this... even if I see it as more of a collector's item.
Anyone else?

Not a bad idea there for the reason that Pyro mentions. I have a few friends that have slow dial up connections and don't usually download anything. I could buy it then pass it around to a few and get them into AH.

Damn this came a little too late for me. My 8yr old nephew comes over every now and then and asks his uncle Revv if he can play "that flying game" well he's ok once he is in the air but crashes on landing so I jokingly told him I was taking his pilots license off him for crashing too many planes. One of his christmas gifts was a certificate I had made up for him renewing his virtual pilots liscense and a copy of Aces High burnt onto a CD rom with a nice little label and cover with a printed manual. His parents had already bought him CFS2 but he now spends all his time in Aces High playing offline till he gets good enough to come and shoot me down..should'nt take him long actually :)
I'll probably buy a copy like AKDejaVu says as a bit of a collectors thing, may even buy my nephew a copy as a bribe so he won't shoot me down :D

Depends on what is printed on the CD and what the jewel case looks like- they could convince me if they put up a small screenshot of both.

A DVD box would be nice, infact I'd be tempted to throw away the jewel case and use a DVD box from a magazine coverdisk with the jewel case cover stuck in the front.

not for me.. hell, I can burn my own CD and control the graphics.. of course they might not be suitable for the 'spitler youths' of the game :)

Just placed my order...

Yup me toooo:)

Naw I pirated it years ago and I have played it a little, but I want to try just a little longer befor I make my purchase decsion. Dont want to rush into anything..

I wonder if they are serialised (looking for low digit CD here!) and if they'll all sign it :)
I'm ordering two for the same way I've always order at least one cd for a game - even if the game was a free online download. Ex/AW-II, WB 2.X, Motor City Online and a bunch of others. Mostly for posterity but it certainly does come in handy when someone is interested to pass the CD on verus giving them a dowload link.
I wonder what the cover looks like (if it has one) Maybe HTC can scan it and let us see it.

Well hell if they are serialized, then I got #0000001. I picked one up the day after they arrived I think. Only thing is, mine cost me $10?!?!? Whats the deal HT?
I guess thats to make up for the last time he bought the drinks. :)

A CD is errr... quite nice, but what about baseball caps, sweater or "most important" a big coffee cup with the AcesHigh Logo on it.
I want more merchandising!!!!!!!:D

"Just come to the con and you can get one too. "
They have in th past taken orders around Convention time for people who cannot make the trip. I got my AH Con 2000 T-shirt and Hat that way.

Put me down for an Aces High coffee mug and a mouse mat!
-
I will. Be good to have just in case.
-
Only if it includes smash hit singles: "Check Six", by HiTech; and "Don't Ask When", by Pyro.
-
Dago's gonna be pissed if it doesn't have his Elvis impersonations included

Every major revision I burn my own. That way I don't have to go through and reset all my views in all the planes in the event of a quick-restore. Saves all my custom sounds too. :D
