From Special Events Announcements:
Ladies and Gentlemen,
This Friday night we are taking the usual break between TOD’s. We will have
an event in the Main Arena for the first time. The details have yet to be
worked out, but most of the TOD squads will be flying for the Knights for
about 2 hours. Raubvogel is acting C.O. with Bluemako and Ripsnort as
X.O.’s leading the squads. This was a random choice and if we ever do it
again we will fly for Rooks or Bishops. It will take place at the usual time of
11 PM Eastern..

I was ripsnort's XO for a year or so. Wonder if he's changed tactics? :)

what exactly do you mean by "having an event" in the MA??? Oh well... at least yu will be able to say you had an event with 400 people in it.

I think the idea is to promote walk ons in the TOD.
After all, if one gate crashes a party, one can in all fairness only expect the same in return.

so it will be TOD guys against regular MA guys who most likely won't even be aware of the fact? We allready have sporadic organized, gangbanging, milkruns in the MA. Hardly worth more than avoiding.

Sheesh, I'm an elitist for flying in the TOD now too??? First it was because of the CT... Now this.
Tell me guys, is there anything else I can do to be more of an elitist??? wait!! I'm a CM now too! I can add that to my already fantastic pedigree as a member of this community/game. sweeet. :p
Lazs, all it means for you is that you will have more horseys than bish to shoot at about 8pm your time tonight, plus shoot at a few people who've been flying rook recently. Oh, and you'll probably see more bombers, but hopefully I won't be one of them. I hate flying bombers in their current state.

Nothing special guys, just a bunch of TOD guys that will be bonding. We fly against each other in the best Special Event that AH has to offer, Funked came up with a good idea that we all fly together one night...this is it.

Sounds like it's time fer the first massive bish Me262, TA152 and Tempest mission to squash the Elitist Kniggit buff assault.
I expect we'll even be able to get Laz in on this one.
Suggestion... bish; if it looks like the kniggits are goin fer rookland, swap countries and aid the rooks... vis a vis, rooks; if it looks like bishland is catchin hell, would sure be nice to get some help.

This is a call for all rooks and bishops to switch to knight tomorrow night! What if they threw a war, and no enemy came? :)

TODs dont allow walkons.. i've been debating this for a while now..still no straight answer cept the fact that it causes scoring problems....whatever :rolleyes:

Ok jpeg... You listening now cause I am getting tired of explaining this. :)
TOD does not allow walkons because of the way the scoring parsers are set up.
You may still fly in the TOD if you wish. Simply sign up with one of the current squads who are flying in the TOD. Its that easy. It wont affect your MA squad affiliation in any way. If you dont know who you want to fly with contact the CO and request a guest spot. You can fly with them a couple of weeks and then if you like it get them to add you to the roster permanently.
Its not that hard. Some of you out there seem to be trying to make a big deal out of this and its real simple. If only you spent as much time trying to figure out a way to join in instead of squeaking and moaning about the rules all the time.

Why aren't the Scenario parsers used then? (What ever the hell a parser is).
They allow walk-ons.
