Title: A NEW ( and I do mean new) idea.

Simple message board for an objective list available from the clipboard.  Anyone can place an objective.  It's just a way to organize the disorganized.  It would set up like this when someone listed an ojbective.

ROOK Clipboard Objective List

Objective:  Capture A4

Resource: Cap
Resource: Escort
Resource: Ord
Resource: Goon
Resource: RW 122
Resource: Channel 122

As pilots sign up to take a particular task.  The Clipboard looks like this:

Resource: Cap      - Killjoy, Frodo, KBman
Resource: Escort   - Nash, Sandman
Resource: Ord       - Laz, Palerider, Fluffy
Resource: Goon     -DREX
Resource: RW 122
Resource: Channel 122


1) We know who has the goon.
2) We know who is hitting the hangers and they can co-ordinate.
3) A newbie can get included easily.
4) When you log on its easy to find out where the fight is, who is where and what is needed.

It's fluid and doesn't require a specific start.  It's just a quick easy way to organize a strike that only requires a VERY small amount of committment.

It's set on a timer, the objective drops off after 45  minutes.  
1) If someone logs they drop off,
2) if someone goes to some other objective it switches,
3) if they go away, they should take their name off.

Can't all of this really be covered by checking the Mission on the clipboard & looking at what plane is suppose to do & who is flying it?...think the button is "Your Mission" on the clipboard.

I guess you want a way to join a running mission while airborne, or create one.
would require to divide planes in mission planing to mission categories (cap, escort..), and airborne pilots join the category regardless of plane type. do I get this right?

I agree.  If you could alter this while in flight it could offer some focus without organizing a planned out mission.  You also wouldn't see,  "sitrep a5???  whats needed at a5????  targets?  COME ON YOU TURDS!! TARGETS A5 LANC OVER A5 NOW!!  DAMNIT YOU GUYS SUCK I QUIT!" polluting the country channel :D  Hehe, a little overplayed, but ya get the picture.
