Title: F6F-5 canopy frame
Post by: oboe on January 23, 2002, 06:45:12 AM
Several months ago, Fester pointed out an error in the current F6F's canopy framing.   Specifically, he showed that the frontal glass pane is too short in AH compared to the real thing.   He included diagrammatic proof.

Pyro said that it would get fixed.   I just wanted to remind you guys that Fester isn't the only one waiting for this fix - we have an entire squad (VF-27) dedicated to flying the Hellcat, so would appreciate the extra visibility this fix will give us.

I hope you can attend to it in 1.09.    Thanks!

Bring the B29a to Aces High! (then worry about malcom hoods and glass pane length)

Hey, at least the F6F-5 has the frame short.

The 109s doesn't have the correct flaps and radiators at all :) So are the N1K2s without the unique looking 'butterfly' flaps.

I'm with ya guys in joining the picket lines :)
