1. Paddle blade prop available for D-11 as an option to choose from hangar. Perk the propeller.
2. P-47D-23RA. Fastest and best climbing of all D-series. Perk it. No need to do major graphics changes. Camo graphics should be 348th FG's, the first squadron to fly with jugs in pacific, for example:

or

3. P-47N
'nuff said.
What would be your number 1 choice from those three ?
I know I can't resume the question with "and when could it be possible", so I don't ask it.
:)

why to perk a propeller?
it wouldn't be unbalancing to the game, and a slight improvement on preformance might get a medium ride in the MA used a little more.
just make it an option we can disable on scenarios - or give us option number 2 :) (I'd like the green one on the upper shelf please :D )

I want them all. :)
I'd like the N first, or maybe the M.

I know, I know, I am gonna be flamed :) My point is: we have 3 version of jug now, and 3 Japaneese planes total. I think we shall get 1 more jug version only when number of japan planes will be >= 6, and it will be he111, ju87, yak3, p39, b25 and other famoust planes which played their role in the real action added to the game.
Please do not be offended, I understand why you love and want this planes. :) Just with only 5-6 planes added every 2-3 months it shall be some propotions kept between planes in the game.

I don't really see why we need yet another P-47D, its just not different enough to justify another D varient.
However, I would like to eventually see the M or N, once we get some more Japanese and Russian birds :)
-
We need many more planes before we get another P-47. The P-47N would be the most interesting and useful jug to add to our planeset when that time comes.
I think what would make you (and me and a lot of AH players) happy is custom aircraft skins. Then you could have your 348th jug. BTW, Bill Dunham's last razorback "Bonnie" has got to be my favorite 348th scheme--the one with the red and white striped rudder. ;)

Yes there are many planes to come before any major jug update and from this point of view, choice 1 paddle blade for D-11 would be easiest to arrange. No need to do additional graphic work, just tweak climb and speed. I'd like to perk paddle blade, then there would be one thing to use your perks. This would bring whole new point to the game, as right now perks means nothing for me.
Skins would be absolutely great! There should be a skin-team, formed from dedicated players to approve skins before using them. I don't want to see all red and neon green fighters around me! Also IMO, skins should be squad orientated, after skin-team approval, squad skin should be used automatically in all squad members planes. Historically accurate skins should be the only ones to enter in MA.
Htpyronatesuper.. any comments to paddle blade or skins?
-
i like the idea of custom skins for squads...but historically accurate skins?...i dont know about that one. there arent too many historical squads in MA...and the ones that are historical almost NEVER fly the planes the squad was assigned to. i agree that nobody wants to be seeing neon planes flying all around them...but then again...who wants to fly in one?

I thought the FDB's were hoping for a Neon Pink C-47 ;)

"nobody wants to be seeing neon planes flying all around them" asked 'em all, have you?
My favourite AW MA skin.....
-
Well seeker, that could be ok without the text, tho :p
Oh, yes there's non-historic squads too.. they could do their own skin, but it should look like a "realistic historical" skin, that's why there should be a skinteam judging the skins.
But before this is turning to skin topic..
whadda ya say about the jugs Supernatepyroht?
Could it be possible to get paddle blade propeller for D-11 as an option?

The P47 is my second favorite AH plane, and i'm all for a better performing jug...BUT...fair is fair. If you get a perk prop for your jug then us P38 drivers should get the Hamilton-Standard props as a perk option too. Can you say 440mph and 4800fpm?
%#@*& the war department for not letting Lockheed upgrade the Lightning with those.

hehe, you know you don't mean that, you just had to say it, because of TAC engined devils :D
Fair is fair, paddle blade prop for D-11 wouldn't unbalance the arena like your uberprop, no matter how to perk it. I agree our planeset is begging another P-38 and I'm sure it will come soon, which btw is good, P-38 is such a huge target, even I can hit it, hehe.
If you ever want to change from 2 engine trainer to 1 engine fighter... [This message has been edited by tac 24.1.2002 7.59 pm]
I recall flying with you once, was nice flying btw. Now ever since I've been wondering who are you... ;)

Good point...a 38 modeled to its true potential in the hands of a Devil would be nearly untouchable. ;)

:D :D If the T E D ever disband or stage a coup and oust me you can bet i'll be looking for a jug outfit to fly with.

I remember that sortie...D25s was it? 2 low jugs making a nuisance of ourselves near a red airfield. Lotsa fun :D

Not the War Department, but the War Production Board, which was chaired by a fellow who was the former Chairman of the Board of GM, and he was also a principle stockholder in Allison as well as having business ties with Curtiss-Wright. ;) Why do you think the P-40 remained in production long after resources should have reallocated to the more potent aircraft already in mass production? As it was, a second source for the P-38 did not come on line until it was too late to be a factor.
That H-S prop installation included a revised reduction gear ratio, thereby decreasing prop tip speeds and improving efficiency. Indeed, the P-38K would have offered better climb and acceleration. However, it did nothing for the critical Mach limits.
My regards,

that must explain why the P-47D-11 has a max prop RPM of 2800, while the paddle-bladed -30 max rpm is 2700. Either that or there's a slight bug in the gauges. :)

HTC? Anybody home?
I can't help myself of thinking that you are avoiding this subject...
