Title: Problem since new patch
Post by: myelo on January 23, 2002, 04:21:16 PM
Since installing today's patch, I can't run AH. I get this message:

The ACESHIGH.EXE file is linked to a missing export DSOUND.DLL.II

Under this message is:
A device attached to the system is not working.

I've never had problems before.

Windows 98
Pentium III 500 MHz
128 MB RAM
Direct X7.0
NVIDIA Vanta video card
I have some custom sounds installed.

Any suggestions? Please type slowly and use small words because it's a good day when I can figure out how to turn a computer on and off.

We are extremely sorry that those of you affected were not forewarned of this change.  It was a miscommunication on our end and we sincerely hope that it doesn't cause much inconvenience.  Thanks for your understanding.

Just download and reinstall Direct X 8.0 or Higher
