Put your weirdest landings and flight here.
Mine was today offline i decide in my 152 pull out of a dive at high speed clipped both wings and procced to use the rudder to roll and elavators to make good turns landed the plane perfect.

I landed a p47 on a carrier, if thats anything

Had to be in a Tempest. I lost half a wing to a Yak, while not far from the base. I decided to bring her in fast, to prevent the common loss of control and auger at landing speed. I ended up landing just as the damaged wing lost lift, and began rolling across the field on my left wheel, with the right wing up in the air and at a thirty degree bank! I didn't dare brake; I would have ground-looped and died. I ended up hitting a hangar. Quite a sight while it lasted though!

P-38 with shot out wingtip and 1 rudder, aligned with runway (which had a very steep cliff in front of the end of said runway...so it was a "break fast or slam" situation).
Plane touches down near mid-runway, can't use flaps to slow down due to the missing wingtip (flap wouldve spun my plane out of control at slow speed) at roughly 200mph... those useless wheel breaks on the 38 didnt do zilch... impossible to rudder to slow down (1 rudder missing)..
As I contemplated my future as a splat on the mountainside at the end of the runway, I decided to at least go out trying. Pulled hard up a few moments before hitting the mountain, plane went from 130mph to 60 mph on the mountain side-scraping climb.. and the wheels TOUCHED the mountain.. I taxiid UPWARDS for a second, speed went to 0. Then the 38 began to taxi in reverse... rolling downhill back to the field.
Since it was a steep hill, the moment the tail booms touched the ground at the base of the hill, the plane flipped on itself..and in the highest tradition of the P-38, flipped and flopped 3 or 4 more times... towards the runway. I ended up with the cockpit piece and what was left of the wing roots sitting in rwy near the rearm pad.
Kids, try this at home. (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/biggrin.gif)

Last night, heading home for the CV in an F6F I ran outta fuel. Although I was pretty low on alt, I had some speed, and was able to make it, flaps and gear down to the deck of the Carrier. Unfortunately, when I hit the deck, it looked as if I bounced, then floated in mid air (or flew slowly sideways), then dropped like a rock into the drink. Strangest thing I've seen landing so far.

My wierdest was rtbing the cv after killing the giant squid. Was in an a6m, caught the first wire and shut my engine down. was chatting with squadies and my plane rolled off the back of the cv and into the drink. Still scratch my head over that one, wind maby? I took off from elevated field, left my main landing-gears when my Arado bounced from hill while gaining enough speed...
In finale (http://www.kolumbus.fi/staga/gears.jpg) and landed (http://www.kolumbus.fi/staga/landed.jpg) (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif)

Back in the pre 'fixed' ditching days when you could hit the ground fast without exploding I lost the left wingtip on a Spitfire MkV. Coming in with gear & flaps up (couldn't hold her level slow enough to drop them) I got a bit too slow and the damage wing dropped, hit the tarmac, dug in and catapulted the plane about 50' in the air spinning like a top. hit the ground about 200 yds further on and just to the left of the runway where the plane smashed itself to bits. I survived for about 30 seconds after the plane came to rest. I was so shocked that I didn't exit and then for some reason died.
Also broke both wingtips off a Typhoon trying to pull out too low over an enemy base. Ran away from the enemy planes in the area and flew all the way back home to landsafely,if a little on the fast side =)
Still got those on film but I don't know wether the viewer will cope with the age of them, I shall dig.

Rosco: that was because you had a bit of throttle up. If you have like 1% throttle up when on deck of carrier, the carrier will move faster than your plane, essentially moving under you until your plane drops into the drink.
I know it makes no sense, but I always use this to rearm my P-38 when I land on carrier. A minuscule amount of throttle, and the carrier moves under me till Im in the arresting hooks, apply brakes, cut engine and I get re-armed (and stay in place).

Lanc without wingtips...
Maybe one day I'll remember not to turn autopilot on while on dive...
In flight (http://www.kolumbus.fi/staga/lanc1.jpg) and landed (http://www.kolumbus.fi/staga/lanc2.jpg).

I've used this one a few times. I have taken a very heavy buff over some mountains. Got close and saw that I wasn't gonna clear the crest so I dropped the nose, gained some E and pulled up to match the incline. Dropped the gear, landed on the upslope and just drove over the top. It works. (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif)

Now I wish I wouldn't have cleaned out my old screen shots!! I had a real nice shot of a Spitfire I skewered on the re-arm pad. I landed Ok, bounced twice, had it all set then BANG......Ahh crap I impailed the thing!! Anyone need a weather vane? I've got one: about 30 feet long, 30 feet wide, huge windmill out front, comes with some guns too. It's got a bull's eye in a few places, but that you can paint over.
