Do you know what this stands for:

VMF


Tell me what each letter means. It's not far if you were in the Marines to answer. Kidding  (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/biggrin.gif)

VMAAW

From 1937-1975
V stands for "heavier than air aircraft"

M was designed to differentiate  Marine squadrons from Naval squadrons.

F I stands for Fighter or fighting.

VMFA is Marine Fighter Attack Squadron(1963 to preset)

VMAAW is Marine All-Weather attack squadron (1965 to present)

And let me throw you some back at 'cha..
