Title: White screen on startup
Post by: caron_k on January 26, 2002, 07:09:46 PM
First time running AH.  When I start the game all I get is a white screen with what looks like a piece of the "spiral notebook" spring in the upper left hand corner of my screen.  No options.  Just sits there.

I am running Win 2000 with an Nvida GEforce 2 card.  500+MBs of memory.  Amd processor.

Anybody have any ideas?

Hi caron_k,
I've had this myself, Locate "video7.cfg in your "settings" folder within the main "Aces High" folder. Delete it (Or perhaps just rename it). Next time you start AH it should take you to the video options selection screen and after selecting the resolution etc you should be up & running. I wouldn't have thought you would have any problems enabling mip mapping & 32 bit colour etc with that set up but you might want to try turning them off if the problem persists.

I get that same thing every once in a while. I just alt tab to desktop and reboot that clears it for another couple weeks.

I have had the same problem, Have tried all the things I have read here but still see the green spirals on the top left. Sent a msg to technical with all my system info but haven't heard back yet. Sure would like an opportunity to play this game. Let me know if you find something that works.. PappyG:confused:
