Regarding aircraft at captured fields, any base that began the tour as neutral will have nothing except field guns available. The neutral bases aren't really there, you see. They represent emergency landing strips; Marsten mat laid on a stretch of beach or a mangrove plantation. There should be a map of the starting set up posted soon. Hblair has it and will get it posted ASAP (right Hblair?:)).
Also, There seems to be a problem with LVTs if there is any wind at ground level. I had a 10 knot wind at all altitudes to help heavy jabos launching from CV's. It was too much for them, so I set wind to zero. I'll have to do some experimenting off line to see if there's a magic max wind for LVT ops.

Look again...The Allies have already taken 2 airfields and a port inside the Japanese defensive parimeter. These are active bases, meaning the Allies can launch from them. As in real life, the Allies are chipping away at Japans defenses. The carriers did their jobs; now it's up to the Air Force to deliver the knockout punch.
