-
TT-download WBStick, then in your HTC\settings folder rename stick.cfg to wstick.cfg. Run WBStick in this folder and save the settings, rename and fly. Works great!

Indian. tried it when you posted before. didnt work , no real R axis ajustment. Thanks anyway.
Floo your post is what is wrong with the SSS stick stirring solution. Alot of people never see it. I see them flopping around like fish on a dock all the time.
I guess im just being a pain. I probably need to start looking for another sim.

TT, open your stick config file in Warbirds and copy and paste your adjusted(with wbstick) settings in the Aces stick file. Worked for me, also, adjust the deadband in stick setup for all axis that spike. I got rid of my CH Pro Pedals for Simpeds, but had to do this before I got them going, because Pro Pedals were just to spiky. Now I never see that message. Good luck.

Maybe this will help TT, This is an unusual fix that works in some cases, sometimes it doesn't though, OK, Unplug your joystick, I assume it is in your gameport? Put the stick under the RT RR Tire of your pickup truck. Crank your truck, Put it in gear and do a burnout til your stick slings across the back yard and knocks out the neighbors cat. Then go down to Comp USA and buy a new stick. (preferrably a different brand) See there, its a pretty simple way to cure the problem.
couldn't resist (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/wink.gif)

TT,
From your end, is your stick spiking? Are you getting maximum control surface movement with minimal stick movement? My impression is you're not.
If this is the case, how is AH interpreting your stick movement as if it was configured as above? That is wild. When my stick was getting those don't move your stick so fast messages, it was because my stick was suddenly spiking when it hadn't before.

All kidding aside TT, my MS Force Feed Pro stick, which has much of the same parts as yours, went bad a few months ago, (it started spiking and sometimes just wouldn't respond). I took it back and got a brand new one under warranty, It was 6 months old. I think MS gives a one warranty on their sticks. My local hardware guy told me when digital sticks go bad, they do strange and unpredictable things. You might look into returning the stick, as my MS FF stick has no prob with Aces High (I just suck!) (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/wink.gif)

My biggest problem with this, is that people with some brands can yank and bank with impunity. While others have to set there stick in cement. This is a built in cheat.
The irony for me is before the SSS I hardly noticed stick stirring I would just hang back, wait for them to bleed E then kill them. Now the stick stirring IS a problem. At least for some of us.
I outlined what goes wrong in the gameplay feedback/issue forum. The test I explained there was what HT had me do to test my stick. as I mentioned before he said it was a MS softwear problem. This was before the dampers were added. But If you have dumbed your stick way down to avoid the message, you havae also handed the other guy a big advantage. Being a target drone really isnt the same thing as playing.

What version Sidewinder drivers are you using TT?
-
ive tried 1.5, 2.0 and 3.02.

TT:
Beg borrow or steal another stick. Go to your local CompUsa/Bestbuy, and buy one. You can always make up an excuse to return it. Even use the truth: 'I bought it and I do not like it, because it is not better than the one I already have'
Before you condemn the AH code, eliminate the possiblity of it being your hardware. Very few people are having the SSS code problem. My guess is the percentages are about equal to the number of borderline and defective Joysticks in peoples homes.
I sincerely hope that things work out for you.
Good Luck

SW 3D Pro ver 1.0, here
Cant say 1.0 would change anything, I wouldn't know, never updated it in 3 years, never had a prob.
I Just put the stick on a new sytem, and used the disk it came with, no spiking(ofcourse its alittle sloppy around center, but deadband cleans it up). I do get a chop in video and sound once in awile(it comes and goes) when I pull the trigger(which can be at bad times, cause im usually pulling the trigger when i got one in my sight) (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif)
but no spiking (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif)
If you want a copy let me know, I'll send it.

ive tried to make windows recognise my pre pro as a 3d pro. But I cant figure out how to do it.
-
My brother just bought a brand new Pre Pro yesterday. He plays Aces High with no spikes. Its possible it could be software, yada yada yada, but I bet its the stick.
One year warranty on MS sticks.

TT,
When you are IN the Aces High calibration screen (the one showing your exact stick movements real-time as seen by the Aces High front end) and move your stick slowly thru the different axis, (slowly up then down, then slowly left then right) does the onscreen cursor move & sync smoothly thru the WHOLE travel distance? or are there any jumps or spikes at different specific areas of throw?
You may have already done this, but I thought I would mention it because it is a good way to see if (even after calibration) your stick may have spike errors only at certain points of stick travel. Perhaps pointing to a worn or defective or dirty potentiometer for that axis on the stick.
Good to know, before you pack up your stick for warranty repair or replacement.
