No top ten lists with this plane,just some observations and wish prods...
#1(Observation)...This is a great plane to be ignored in...Most people think you as a 190 D or perhaps an A8(if they're not watching)and pass you up for something that's more engageable..:)
#2(Prod)...This is a very versitile plane.I just wish that MG ammo load could be selected so that one doesn't need to drain endless BB's (with score penalty..hit%) to achieve desired loadout.
#3(Observation)...Man,this thing bleeds "E" in emergency's!!!The best plane in AH to do the "U No What"..:)
#4(Prod)...Thought that in 1941 the 190A out turned/dived/climbed the SpitV...It does neither/nor and about the same..
#5(Observation)...A great plane to take up to 25K...Most opponents assume that yer in a 190D and will follow you down in a spiralling barrel fite..(when you hit 10k,bye bye 109..:)
#6(Prod)...190A5 should be 35 perks(same as 109G6)...OK,this should be a (Whine)..:)
#7(Observation)...The 190A5 has many secrets!...More so than P51 or P38...Only downside is having to burn hit% to achive them...
#8(Prod)This plane is great!!!..Check it out!...:)

After 5 days playing in MA I'd never thought that the 190A5 could survive all the Spits LA7 and N1k but now I know it's really ÜBER.

I dont think a FW could ever truely "out-turn" a spit. They where faster, better roll rates and had maybe had the advantage of being able to fly inverted which I think the intial spits couldnt do.

A5 will outdive, outclimb, but not outturn the SpitV under 10K or so in AH.
It has good acceleration, so you can break away from most bad guys when in trouble.
It survives very well in an environment with La7's or Nikki's. Believe it or not, the F6F gives me the most trouble.

yep me too;) ,,,,,,,,,,also a nice feature is the popgun,,you can`t
kill with it,but you can force your opponent to make some mistakes,if he`s d600-800 in front of you,,,,,,,,use it to annoy
,,,,,,he doesn`t know it`s only a popgun:D ,,,,,,,,,and plenty of ammo.

Right GRUN, The A5 is the WORST plane of them all it can do sh...
It's low and underpowered, can't turn. You can't hit with it'S cannons. Only thing that'S ok is the looks :).

Have you ever noticed that the 190A5 has one of the best k/d ratios of all non perked planes? Ups ;)
Ahm, yeah 190A5 has also a really really naughty stall so never fly this thing it's way too complicated especially for new pilots!!!

our squad allways fights over who get's to kill the 190. We are allways bummed when it is a wussy D9.
On the other hand... it is a great plane. easily above mediocre planes like the 47, 38, Hog and Hellcat. It's just that I have never seen anyone fly it well in the arena.

Believe it or not, the F6F gives me the most trouble.
I can see this. It can keep up with the A-5 in a dive... it can slow with one when someone tries to force an overshoot... and it can turn well enough to make up for its slower roll rate.
The main thing it can do is reach out and touch you from 500 yards away with the .50's... so extending is a bit of a risk.

The plane that worries me most in the 190a5 is a yak. Especially a yak piloted by someone who doesn't piss away their ammo on low probability shots. Someone who waits until they get in the 250-275 range. I hate those guys.
The a5 is a good plane, but not as good as its stats seem to indicate. I think a lot of good pilots fly this medium plane very well.

I've heard this somewhere before... but they perked that plane anyways.
When the numbers are low, its easy to argue that the stats are so good because there is a dedicated core of people flying it. When the kill tallies double then tripple (and k/d actually increases)... the argument doesn't hold as much water.
The plane is a good ride... It has distinct advantages in some areas and more subtle advantages/disadvantages in others... with its only real weakness being its turning ability.
What's strange to me is that many people complain about an aircraft who's only strength is its turning ability. Oh well... I guess that's fit for a different topic.

Furious, the weird thing is that when I have the 4 cannon, I tend to do a lot better - and not because I ever hit anything with the extra cannon - I usually exhaust those guns before I actually make contact. Go figure.

190a5 is a great aircraft if flown right.Same as any other plane in the game.
I flew a p51b last night got 3 or 4 kills in furballs then flew a spit9 and got 2 kills but died to ack then took a p47d25 and got 3 or 4 kills then a 190a5 and got 4 kills.each time i stayed in the furballs for fun until i was dead or shot down.I shot down newbies and some vets........what does this tell us?

I found the p47d25 to be an extremely easy plane to use among fellow pilots in the furballs!, really suprised me.How this aircraft is of a higher eny value than the 190a8 i dont know!
the aircraft i got the most perks for in those furballs? the P47 with 5.4 or so perks.If I want to push for perks from now on ill use the p47d25 instead of taking huge risks with 109g2s/109f4/190a8s.
Anyone who disagrees the p47 is easier I say you are MAD or you enjoy the odd lie.Those guns are so accurate its hard to miss.

Wasn't there a test someone did a little while ago which supposedly determined that taking the two outer cannon didn't affect performance significantly? However, I personally stick to the 2x20mm loadout because it just feels lighter and rolls better. Maybe a kind of placebo effect? My MA time in the A5 has dwindled since the Dora came out, but maybe I should fly it more often. In the CT it was basically all I flew when it was LW vs. allies.

Ya need ta stick with the "domestic" stuff, as that imported hemp will warp your sense of perception.
Not to mention the effect it has on the homegrowers and our national economy.

Taking away 2 MG FF of A-5 improves zoom, climb and acceleration by some 3 %. A negligible difference, but deceptive...most AH planes are inside 10% difference compared to each other.
Taking away firepower from a plane is risky stuff IMO. It should be done with regard to one's flying style. And you never know how many buffs you'll meet or scissor snapshots you'll get.
