Hi -

I'm having a problem with being DTD when I try to run in 1024 x 768.  Tonight I got DTD 5 times in a period of about 2 minutes.  It also will DTD offline as well.  I do not have the probem when I run 800 x 600.  I usually run the higher res until this last update.  That's when the problems started.  My system config as follows:

P3 700
ABIT BX6 R2 motherboard (2X agp)
256 MB ram
SB annhilaror Pro 32 MB (nvdiva 23.83 drivers)
    32 bit true color mode
    desktop res at 1024 x 768
    4X anti-aliasing

SB audigy 5.1 (lastest drivers)
56K connect (no cable modem yet)
Thrustmaster j/s&throttle w/ TM acm gamecard

I've check all my IRQ's etc and have no conflicts. I'd prefer to run in hi res if possible.  Does anyone have any ideas what the scoop is?

Have you tired playing with the AGP aperature, seems that most folks, including myself have had to play with AGP aperature to get nvidia cards to work.

Try to remove the anti-aliasing and see if it still dumps you.

Try setting your AGP Apeture size in BIOS to 128.

But most importantly, that version of the Detonators SUCK.

Go back to the 21.81 WHQL certified ones.

One thing I forgot to mention is I'm running WIN98 SE.  I've got my AGP apature set to 128 and turnd off anti-aliasing. I tried running the 21.81 drivers but that caused even more problems, video lockups during the game.  I was forced to fix the lock up by using the tried and true "off - on " method.  :-)

I've since reverted back to drivers version 6.31 and everthing seems to be ok again.  However, I still can't run the 1024 x 768.  My card is now at least 3 generations old.  Could it be that card is just getting outdated for the new drivers that are being released?

As an unrelated questions, how do I get the little "smilies" put into posts?  I see people using them, but I have no idea how to get them into the text.
