Here's the problem... and it isn't AH related.
I've been trying to play X-Wing Alliance (ah, the memories of Tie Fighter).
The only stick calibration available is Windows calibration. Since the stick is USB, Windows thinks I don't need to calibrate.
In game, the stick needs constant back pressure to keep a steady attitude.
Is there any way to affect game-specific dead zones or scaling using SGE?

Go to this site and download Thrusmaster Pro Panel.
http://www.cvscorp.com/thrustmaster.htm
You can calibrate any controller with it and is what I use for my X36 since I had to reattach the pots. It will put a utility in your control panel for calibration. If you still have problems I would consider doing like I did and open your stick up. The pots were loose in mine and needed to be reglued.

You can use a program called "Thrustmaster Propanel" to calibrate your x36 in windows.
If I understand you correctly you calibrate your stick in AH but when you fly x-wing fighters (? ) theres no ingame calibration.
If you use Thrustmaster propanel to calibrate in windows it should help ya.
Try this link
Ron Hunt x36 calibration (http://saitekhelp.simhq.com/resetting_windows_calibration_data.htm#start)
to download thrustmaster
Thrustmaster Propanel (http://www.cvscorp.com/_tm/Software/ProPanel/ProPanel.ZIP)
And/or follow these directions to Clear Windows Calibration
Clear Cal (http://saitekhelp.simhq.com/resetting_windows_calibration_data.htm#ClearCal)
Good luck

Have some DX stick tweak files at web site(bottem of page). You might be able to adjust deadzone in DX. Be careful, you can mess up your stick bad with them.
