I dont think that any TBD exists today anywhere. The Naval Aviation museum here in Pensacola doesnt have one, and they have one of almost every aircraft ever flown by the Naval services. They have a model rack that has a model of all the Naval airplanes that exist that they dont have one of, and the TBD is one of only maybe ten or so planes that they dont have. Quite an awesome museum for sure, second only to perhaps the Air Force museum at WP AFB and the granddaddy of them all -- the Smithsonean Air and Space museum.

last time i was out to tilamook i racked my brain for any ploy that would get me into the cockpit of that f4u, but i got nothin. there has to be some emergency that would require me sitting in that plane.
