Title: Is anyone running 1.06 in Windows 2000?

Apparently many have problems with Windows 2000 and 1.06 like me. Version 1.05 worked jsut fine, after 1.06 update (and full install) AH refuses to start. I would like to know if anyone has played 1.06 succesfully in Windows 2000.

I have Win2000 & no problems with 1.06.....

gabryl,

Could you post your system specs?  Many folks are unable to run AH 1.06 in Win2k, and I'm sure it would be helpful if we could figure out why.

Have you applied Service Pack 1?
Any hotfixes?
What sound/video cards are you using?
Dx8?

W2k professional
maiboard Soltek bla bla turbo :P (VIA chipset)
PIII 550
Creative GF2MX
SB PCI
DirectX 7.0
NO service pack 1
display drivers Creative blah, blah, blah (i'm not using Detonators because I'm working in Maya 3.0 and Detonators aren't good for that)

Geforce2 Ultra (7.52 drivers (anything else flickers like buggery)

As a test please rename your settings dir and run AH. It will create a fresh one.

Yeah baby yeah!!! I deleted settings directory and AH starts again! Thanks HTC!

Ok, it worked once but not anymore... Hopefully HTC has time to check it out soon.
