LOL.  I don't mind squads rotating.  I only mind when the periodicity is such that the majority of squads are on the same side: that makes things miserable for the unsquadded side(s).

I don't know if the "nomadic" squads check the numbers first, but it doesn't seem like it.  For those that do: you'll hone your skills better if you join the side that's losing  (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/wink.gif)

Hey Paint guess what, we don't care what you think.  Go back to Quake or wherever you came from.

Isnt "MAW" an indicator of a squad?  That kind of post does not speak well of a squad.

Funny (or maybe sad)how some guys think they should have a say, or even an opinion about what another squad does in terms of what country they fly with.

A squad may choose to rotate countrys from time to time for a variety of reasons such as:
1) Get to know more players and learn from them
2) A minor way to help keep the game fresh bu making small changes
3) Balance the sides if other squads are rotating also

I guess I am surprised that anyone chooses to take it personal of find it wrong.  It's no big deal to me what any other squad chooses to do in this matter.

I do agree that it seems many "quakeheads" seem to be coming to the game and acting juvenile.  Best thing a game can have is a good community.  This one seems to be slipping to me, I hope that isnt a trend that continues.

At the end of the day, some people here have no life and take this game far too seriously.

Dowding, this is a bit like sitting in a pub and having arguments over football teams, coaches and the players.

Luckily no one ever got trampled to death or fatally beaten by a gang of skin heads at a UBB flame fest though   (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/wink.gif)

Not even football 'discussions' involve the amount of juvenile toejam you have to wade through here.

Maybe computer games are just for kids after all?

When I was a trainer I made it a point to fly for a different side every night. For the reasons stated above, it made getting to know everyone a bit easier, and you could catch calls from help on country channel you might otherwise miss.

Point is, there are any number of reasons to switch sides. Don't assume people switch for the wrong reason (if such a reason does indeed exist).

Yeah ok, allow me to inject something else into your thought processes.

Nothing wrong with changing sides........but certain people arent being absolutely honest about the reasons.

Change at the start of a tour......not 10 minutes before a reset to get the perk points.

And here's how I know.......a certain squadron were discussing this on an RW channel just before they moved (and the reset).   Someone else was on that RW channel......and no-one noticed.

I thought you have to be playing for a side quite a long time to get the points from a reset. Like a kind of buffer period.

I reckon it needs to be half a day.

That's right Dowding. There is a significant time period one must be a member of a country in which to get those points. I beleive it is 12 hrs.  A major fact which Swoop and a few others seems to have over looked.

Yep.  And I think it's damn funny that those who changed sides in order to get perk points didnt actually get any.

Fact is that now in my time-zone the roster usually looks like 70 rooks and both Bish and Knight 45 and That shows in gameplay. Guess we all should go to rooks if it helps ?

Edit: Added small gif.

Strikes me ironic that Swoop might be concerned with the possibility that someone might change sides for points, but seems to have no problem with someone intruding and spying on a private RW channel/conversation.

I find this practice much more offensive then someone trying to get some easy points.

Dago, before you accuse somebody of spying, why not check your rw list to see who is on that ch, I have been on a ch and had others show up and start using it with out knowing I was there. untill I gave a might check.
as for my self, I take a look at the rw list to see who is on ther ch.

I didnt accuse anyone of spying, I am just acknowledging something he said himself, with no indication of indignation at the practice.

Obviously he is aware of spying. He said so.
What he didnt say was he found this as appalling as I would have.

Interesting set of standards.

LOL.

How is it spying to be on a RW channel all by yourself and suddenly have YOUR OWN COUNTRYMEN drop on channel and start talking?

Spying is changing countries and reporting back all you see/hear to someone who cares.

If that is how it happened, it would be easy to understand. It would be tempting to be a silent participant, if they dropped in on you and not the other way around.
