It's that time of year again!
I hope to see some of you guys at the airshow:

They just added a Hurricane Mk. I and a Spitfire LF Mk. IX to their flying collection: http://www.planesoffame.org/spit_hurri.htm

P-47
P-51
P-63
B-25

Central Colifornia = SF-SJ. You call it a long drive? 4.5 hours at most.
I'll see you at Chino daddog. :D
P.S. Before I relocated to SJ, for six months my wife and/or I drove 360 miles between LA and SJ every weekend.
Are you impressed? :)

That spit looks like the same plane I saw about 10 years ago at an airshow in N. Ireland. The 109 it was doing combat with flew circles around it, but of course, the spit still won! hehehe

Sling,
The fare I posted above was on Southwest. It was to Orange county, which I think was about 20 miles from the Chino airport.

I am going to try and make it to the show. Hell, I live in LA, very easy for me to get there.
Let me know what day everyone will be there. You can all make fun of me as I droll over the Kitty (not that you all need something to make fun of me for). :)

I'll see if I can make it. Its only a 6 hour drive or so.
I'd like to see the Spit and Zero.
-
This might actually be something I can make. I'd like to know what day most will be there.
-
Everybody: I'm going to be there for the Saturday show. I'll keep this thread punted up. We'll come up with a place and time to meet, something like "10 am at the Sherman tank" or the B-17 or something obvious.
Rap - Hiya bud, I already visited that site. :)
Hammer - We'll have to do that. :)

P.S. - If any out-of-towners need help setting up lodging , getting directions, or just have a general question, feel free to ask. I'll help out any way I can.

I just flew a Texan in Florida. It was a free bonus ride for the graduates of Tom Reilly's Warbirds Restoration School (in addition to a ride in "Panchito", a B25J Mitchell). Their normal charge is around $300/hour, or $450/hour for the full aerobatic schtick.
They had some P-51 there as well, I don't know an exact price, but I think it is around $600-700/hour.
According to Tom Reilly, an hour of flight for the B25J is $750. It is the owner cost, not the rental fee.
I would strongly recommend a Texan flight. This plane is wonderful to fly.

I'm about 1.5 hours south and I'm gonna try to make it. Will there be some designated meeting place or the exchange of cell phone numbers?
