Title: teen develops hand-arm vibration syndrome
Post by: Sandman on February 04, 2002, 09:26:16 AM
Warning: All shook up over game controllers (http://dailynews.yahoo.com/htx/zd/20020201/tc/warning_all_shook_up_over_game_controllers_1.html)

Ah... the perils of being a teen. Can't play with the video games without fear damaging their hands. Can't do "that other thing" without fear of going blind.

It's a tough life, ain't it?

:D

maybe they can take the ffb from the controllers and make belts for them to wear.

Need to do something to shake the lard off our youth ...

Wow.. someone is suprised that doing a repetative hand motion for 4-8 hours a day can cause problems?  SOB could have told them that... though furry palms and shaking are different symptoms.

If a kid is playing video games 7 hours a day, he has much bigger problems than white fingers.

Seriously, they're lucky his fingers went numb before he started having epileptic seizures.

The parents who let the kid play games 7-hours a day for years probably already have a lawyer lined up. Of course, there are some AH'ers who turn in those kind of numbers :) Perhaps HiTech and Pyro should cover their tulips and add a disclaimer: Lack of a real life can be hazardous to your health.
