Title: AH and Canopy Reflections
Post by: ThePope on February 04, 2002, 11:45:53 AM: Has AH ever looked at putting in canopy reflections in the planes? I think this would add great added realism to an already great online sim. Is this hard to do?

Yeah it would be great, and maybe ten years from now we'll be able to enjoy every effect imaginable, right now I'd settle for some more early war planes, and less warps. :eek:

Post by: muckmaw on February 04, 2002, 02:16:37 PM: I'm running a brand new system on a cable modem, but during TOD when we launched 15 JU88's at once, my frame rate plummeted from 70 to 7!

So if it means leaving my frame rate nice and high....I'll pass on the extra eye candy.

Yes I know about Facon 4s canopy reflections Mandoble, your right too. They are very cool. However they dont have to keep up with 300 differnt planes from 300 differnt connections.

If ThePope is talking about the same effect as Falcon 4.0 where you have the inside relfections, you are prob right bud, it might not matter. If he is talking about external reflections from other aircraft, thats what I was thinking could cause more problems.
Then again I should stay out of technical debates, since I am not a computer programer.;)
