Just as I'm getting comfortable with my mediocre flying ability... BOOM
Actually, that should be "snap" as that was the sound my stick made last night as I was pulling that last bit of lead about to put a Spit out of it's misery. :(
I know everyone sings the praises of CH products and quite frankly they are probably my first choice with the TM HOTAS stuff being in a "yeah we promise it's coming" mode.
My old stick was a four button, 4 position hat, Thrustmaster X Fighter so I'm really going to be moving up in the world ;) My concern is I've really come to like stiff springs and the stick centering my TM had. I've never seen a CH product on the shelf so I haven't been able to feel the tension. I don't care about FF stuff and most sticks on the shelf feel mushy (read MS stuff).
So... how are CH sticks as far as spring strength???

Being an old TM user myself I can't stand the way CH sticks feel. BUT that is my personal preference and I am sitting here waiting on my TM Cougar setup.

If you want a hefty spring, that Saitek X45 is about as stiff as they come.

You are one limp-wristed guy.
Have you tried the TM F22? after playing Aces High for an hour its equivalent to going to the gym.

:D
Yep Animal the F22 had probably the stiffest spring I have ever seen/felt in a joystick. It is rumored to be the spring assembly they are putting into the Cougar HOTAS as well.

TM was at the 2000 AW Con and they were giving out replacement springs and pots. I hadn't opened them until this incident. After determining that they weren't the right springs :( I looked at their website and noticed they were for the F22 series of stick.
Animal is correct... those springs could be mounted on most light duty trucks :)
