Just wondered...seems that more often than not when I'm finished reading this board, I'm left with the feeling that folks are dissatisfied.
Only an observation, not whinin (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif)

I'm am! No complaints here. I fly what I want to fly, when I want to fly and how I want to fly. No problems. (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/biggrin.gif)

Ice, haven't you heard the old military saying.

Very happy! Even with having 2 countries attacking us all week-end, I didn't have to blast any Rooks/Knits on open channel for ganging , and I didn't have to private channel someone and whine! (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif)

I’m happy. The game continues to fascinate me. I may be getting caught up in the “soap opera” of it all, which just serves to aggravate my wife to no end. What the hell though, I’m dealing with virtual fighters being controlled by emotional beings. I don’t care what anyone says, even the best mannered person in the world will get a little testy after six hours plugged in, maybe even less time than that.
<Note to self> Still looking for Hangtime, last I counted I owe him a few pounds of lead. Seems I’ve been able to remove most of it from my 6 and would like to promptly hand it back to him in spades. (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/biggrin.gif)

I just spent 20 min online and then logged off.
No I'm not satisfied how the game is going in these days.
-
I don't have a problem at all. Online I'm happy as a pig in sh&t.
Because I make it fun for myself and if I can also for anyone else around me - unless they're a "general" (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/wink.gif)

I gotta say that I'm not as interested in AH as I was a few months ago.
I reckon Afrika Corps spoiled it for me - I enjoyed it so much MA just seems empty to me (even with 180 people online).
PLEASE SOMEONE, ORGANISE A HISTORICAL CAMPAIGN SOON!!!!!!

Patience young jedi - its currently in the works, I anticipate having the <censored> terrain ready for bug testing/HTC approval by this Friday. (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/wink.gif)

When do I love it? Any of these times:
- When Zig or Cave organize ANY type of mission....successful or not.
- When my squaddies are online and looking to wing up.
- When I am no where close to the top 20 fighter pilot rankings
When do I dislike it?
- No organization in our country
- My countries numbers are 1/4 of the Nits and Bish and they both hitting us (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/biggrin.gif)
- No ones up to fly with
To restate what Westy said, the game is what you make it. Get in on organized strikes or join a squad who flies about the same time you do.

My only complaint is that the arena feels less and less like a WWII sim and more and more like a fantasy game with WWII-like equipment. The flight models are good, damage good, gunnery pretty good, and so on... but the PT-boat battles between fleets, the plehtora of "rare" WWII planes, and the general arena layout make it less "WWII" than I'd like. There is little or no early (or even mid) war action in the arena, and that kinda sucks.
Still, I have a ball flying with my squadron mates, I enjoy the plane modelling, and the quality of the opposition is quite good... so I'm happy, just not perfectly happy.

So far so good....Ram is so predictable (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif)
In the 13th TAS we always fly together, which helps alot sharing the kill/death experience...whats best for me is to have squadmates online with me so I have someone to blame for dying...is never my fault (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/biggrin.gif)

I am quite bored.
Mostly because I play too much.
I don't buy into the notion that the Chog and N1K are "uber" but it is VERY dull fighting the same two planes over and over and over.
AH Strat has some interest, but the in-flight AWACS display, B-2 JDAM strategic bombers, and Theatre Ballistic Missile Defense System (CV and field AAA) make AH a much better sim of a modern air combat context than a WW2 air combat context. With such ridiculous constraints on offensive operations, I'd rather just go play Falcon 4, where I at least have modern tools for a modern context.
The only reasons I'm still here:
1. Squaddies.
2. Scenarios (Afrika was awesome, next one is gonna rock).
3. Perk system coming "online" and new planes in 1.06
4. Target Korea still in closed beta.
5. Warbirds still sucks ass.

LOL Funked.

any more fun than this, and it got to be illegal.

I am totally thrilled with AH and the 13th tas squad. I am however dissapointed with being pesonally respnosible for Ice dying on more than one occasion. I now know why as my squad leader he asks me to join the rooks for undercover work.

More frustrated than not happy.
And too stupid to quit.
------------------
When did they put this thing in here and WTF is it for?
-
frustrated and playing alot less. htc jsut wont fix things like hogc ect.the direction they are taking the game sounds boring to me . planes that never mattered high.
-
I am the picture of contentment. Unlike the Oral majority who whine about every little thing, i dont.. never have and never will. Ive lost a lot of respect for some of these whiners that are to busy crying instead of adapting, overcoming and improvising.
Just fly the damn plane!!!!!!!!!
Dog out...........

Well, not long ago I left that other online flightsim who's initials are Air Warrior so it should be fairly obvious THAT I'M TRULY HAPPIER THAN THE toejamIEST PIG IN THE PEN!!
The only REAL squeak I agree with is the over-abundance of Chogs but thats minor....actually I consider it a good way to get lotsa perkies.

No. I hate it here. This game sucks. The developers are weenies and their minions are all no-skill lackeys, the country I'm in is always outnumbered and staffed by dolts; I can't load my own plane art, the fields are too far apart; there's no HA; no midwar or early war planes, the connects suck, nobody ever helps me save a1, and the CV's keep turning when I try to take off.
*POP!*
Oh; sorry; I was daydreaming about WWIIOn-line. Has that been canceled yet?

What WD said.
I think the reason for some of the boredom is that yer doing the same things in the arena, night after night. Of course it's gonna get stale.
But there's no reason for that. The MA is one giant playground loaded with options... and it's up to you to decide what you wanna do.
Just as an example...
Funked says he is "quite bored". He also says field AAA is too tough. Au Contraire. I spent the majority of my flying time in the TA one week practicing JABO and clearing acks. It becomes an absolute breeze to do - one plane can totally prep a field. What have I gained? It has opened up a whole new dimension for me.
How many planes have you mastered?
I know Ice and crew are having a blast using wingman tactics. How many of you have actually tried (or tried to pefect) some of Shaw's 2-4 ship manuevers (bracket, offset etc.)?
Have you been to the TA lately to help out some newbie? Try it - it can be fun.
Spend an entire evening in a tank and *try* to do well in it. Employ smoke, realistic tactics etc.
How about spending a night where you would usually be flying, and design a Snapshot scenario instead? The research may be interesting, having it played out would be very cool... and I know the CMs are open to looking at user submitted scenarios.
Play trophy hunter. Go on yer own, solo dweeb hunt. Pick out a guy from the other country... try to zero in on his location... see if ya can tell him apart from the other planes in the area and bag him.
Be a score dweeb for a night. Pretend the slate is wiped clean. For just one night - aim for the highest K/D ya can.... see how large you can grow a kill streak.
Wing with some new guy ya haven't seen before. Met alotta nice folks that way.
Etc. etc.
And don't think month after month of some HA is gonna be any different. The real reason for boredom is lack of imagination.
-
Another guy has it right! Welcome to the light, young one! It's a big world, room for all... (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif)

Apparently some folks never see their own glass anywhere near half full.
It must be b*tch to get up every day knowing that a "good day" for you is going to be no dry sand in the bottom of your glass.
It's got to be even worse when you eventually realize that it was your own crappy attitude that made you think that for so many years!
-
(note; IM KIDDING fer gawdsake!!!!)
-
Nash I can kill AAA quite fine thanks. But the fact remains that the acks are a lot closer to current military stuff than WW2 stuff.
-
It has its moments, but sliding to the 'push the button, I'm out of here' side (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/frown.gif)
-
Heh - try taking a 109f4 up in MA and shoot the chogs down who engage you in a turn fight thinking its a G6 or G10. <G>
Parting them out with the 7.9 mm MGs is quite satisfying - kinda like pulling the wings off house flys. (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/wink.gif)
-
About AH: It is simply whatever you make of it. There are many many things to here do all it takes is some imagination.
Some are better at this than others.
If I whined every time I got whacked all I would do is whine so I try to keep that at a bare minimum (whining that is, I like getting whacked).

Yeah Funked... sorry 'bout that. Just using yer quote as an example... as I find it fascinating how many people don't know how big a role fighters can play in field captures beyond vultching. It just adds another interesting element to the MA, which was really my point.
But I know you can handle the ack... as I've have seen ya do it. It's interesting though....hearing you say that it should be toned down from it being a "Theatre Ballistic Missile Defense System". I'm not sure how much it could be toned down without it being entirely useless. But this is way off topic now. Something for another thread perhaps.

If you changed that to "get assists on chogs to other chogs.."maybe.
I was just starting to think the Perk system was starting to tell and HogCs and Nikis were getting rarer. I must be imagining things.
I think the game rocks. I love it. But its the 90% of customers that never say anything on this board that really matter. The board has been cool too. Neat posts by Widewing etc...

Amen to that!

AH has increadible amount of potential techically and it makes me very happy. On the other hand, only small part of it is getting used which makes me unhappy.
Can it be it AH is basically AW, FA and WB all over again? I cannot and it should not be!

Not very happy (but can live with it (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif))
The MA is like an arcade game and there is no option, hoping it will change. On the other hand AH has the best FM's and view system I've seen in a WW2 flight “game”.
"World War II Multi Player Flight Simulation"
So why do we get Chog ver Chog over fantasy island?
I think AH is the best option around at the mo, I’ll stick with it till something appears that has more of what I’m looking for. (WW2 flight)
-
Well when im in the arena i have lots of fun, but when im outside of it i cant help thinking about what AH _could_ be with djust an few tweaks to the arena settings.
