Title: Drone In CT arena???
Post by: stegor on February 11, 2002, 06:13:08 AM
Yesteday night i roll  from a field in N France in a 190; number are adverse, allies twice the axis.
Goin NW to do some alt, I see some very high con on the sea.
Some minutes later from this bunch of con a spit dive to me , I meneuver to avoid shots, but  he,regaining alt, maintain  his advantage on me and tries several other attacks.
Triyng to defend and maneuver after 6 or seven attacks, i begin to lose my less alt, and  I am unable to change situation, so I direct  to my field, to see if the spit let me go away Suddenly some whinin in the buffer "....190 ack hugging in CT arena too..Hey 190 dont run to ack..."  something like "this is not the way to fight in CT "
Let me see, you have alt, you have E you have any advantage, you want me to fly straight and slow too??? only because we are in CT???
I have to make me shot in a stupid way only because this is CT arena??
Is this the "realism" we pretend from from CT??
Strange people indeed

Sorry if it seems you this is a whine

My advice:  Ignore the person.
You started out E-disadvantaged, you successfully countered his attacks, then made a move to extend or break off.
Sour grapes from the other guy, IMO.  You did what you had to do, he didn't like it.

Stegor.
It's come to my attention that dweebishness is in direct proportion to how hard you are to shoot down. The longer you stay alive in an engagement, the more likely somebody gets frustrated and starts with insults.

Hmm...must be why I never notice anyone whining about me in the CT. :)

I've also noticed a higher reading on the whineometer in the CT lately. Of course the sheer volume is still less than in the MA, but all the cliches are there -- ack runner, spit-dweeb, strato-buff, run-stang, gang-bang, etc.

I enjoy a good whine as much as anyone, but some players need to work on their material. My 5-year-old daughter talks better smack playing kick-ball. Maybe someone can put up a help page or something.

As you were.

Yup myelo, the whines are increasing, but when you look at who is doing it, it is pretty much the same ones that whine in the MA too.......same persons, different arena.............same whines.

Whining is an art form.

Those that lack the skill/talent to do it correctly or with flair should leave off doing it at all.

I think I was in there when this started happening to Stegor. If this is the same time frame it would have been 3-4pm Central Time (US) yesterday. The comments were uncalled for since the person who was attacked evaded and escaped as he should have done when faced with an enemy in a superior position.
