which actual aircraft was being used as a reference for the b-17g shown in ah (the production code (the 6-digit code displayed on the vertical stab) shown on the model in ah seems to be illegal. the squad id (the "ve-n" displayed on tail fuselage and vertical stab identifies the aircraft as a b-17f/g of the 532nd bs, 381st bg, 1st cw, 8th af, based in ridgewell, uk from ´43 until ´45) brings up 5 different planes that shared "ve-n" as a squad id throughout ww2)? question: was it the one the u.s postal service showed on this stamp (http://www.jvlnet.com/~paradise/381st/stamp4.htm) in ´97 eventually? if not, what references did htc use to do the skin for the b-17g model? thx in advance!
