Fatty shot me down when I was making a C47 approach to F12. I was in that C47 for 30 minutes! I was landed on the West side of F12 waiting my chance. An opening finally presented itself, but Fatty got me about 30 seconds away from the drop. At the time there were 3-4 knights above me just watching the show. My opinion, Fatty did everything he was supposed to do to stop me dropping the troops!

Joe the problem wasn't how Bull was flying the problem was the lack of cap that was at the base.
Bull did the right thing by waiting till the 47 came into view.
This was in no way an act of Dweebery.
He was a lone defender at a base that would have been lost had he not defended it.
As far as you leaving well that's your decision and I won't comment on that.
OH yeah! You keep mentioning QUAKERS as if everyone who plays Quake is a bad person or they don't know how to play AH/WB/AW right.
Just because they don't play like you think they should doesn't mean they are wrong.

Every once in awile something mornic happens in the middle of my day that REALLY ticks me off. Usually it's an amazinhunk contest, with the participants being infantile and pathetic and without expection it happens on the production floor and the whole damn line grinds to a halt. (this crap never happens on their time; just on mine) Then I have ta go down there and pry through 'he said, she said' to get to the gist of the problem. I listen attentivley; nod at the appropriate moments and hope that the idiot doesn't say "THAT'S IT; I FU**KIN QUIT!!!" But they usually do and its kinda senseless really; quitting won't solve any problems at all.. but policy is policy. When yah 'announce' yer history; we MUST 'make it so'.
And then I have to smile politely; immediatly take the fool boneheads timecard and punch it; hand it back to him and , still smiling, point him in the direction of the personel office. It's the "Don't let the door hit yah in the bellybutton on the way out" response that stuns 'em. Did the clown expect an argument from me???

Joemud, do you mind if I just call you Joe? I've been flying in online
arenas for seven or eight years, and it's changed not just my personal
life, but also my approach to my work.
It's really opened me up to flying in a way that's based in real issues.
You're sharing actual emotions with other people in these arenass, and I
eventually started to realize the power of that and the power of finding
the humor in it, too.
The emotion and the humor aren't in conflict.
What I'm trying to say is that they kind of go together.
As a graduate of several 12-step programs I say we can do it together.
Let's synergize!

Somewhere in that statement lies a proverb, I think what he meant was, "No one will notice you gone, there's always someone else who will fill the space back up that you vacated."

Joe well if this is not the game for you i am sorry and i hope you will find something you like. but there is no reason to go on the way you do. If you dont like the game then LEAVE! Dont sit there and whine throwing temper tantrums like a 5 year old. yelling and screaming does not make your points about how you would like the game to go. All it does is shows is that you act like a 5 year old when he cant get his way. imho more people will take you seriously if you give valid reasons and do it with out tantrums.
I hope you find a game that has everything you want. Also I hope you learn to play nicly with others

Amazing - truly amazing Joe .....
Here we are looking for Version 1.02 (1.something for chris' sake!) and here you are bleating about a bug that gives a guy a hand. Well take a big gulp of reality and wake up coz these things will always be there. I've only been here a week and come from Air Warrior which is at V3.13 and is still bug ridden. You fly round it and handle it - You've been registered since September last and you didn't know that would happen?? What were you doing there without a wingy fighter if you knew what could happen??? I understand your frustration but isn't that what drives the learning process and builds this thing called experience?
Calm down - give it a day or so and try again - oh it will be different somewhere else - different bugs.
If you can't handle an issue like that then take up fishing (but then again those Bass are only at Version10,000,000.46 and still don't always bite)

Not to put too lightly a finish on it (a CANNON "HARVEY-DONLDSON" jab) someone needs to remind this guys that there is an ON/OFF button attached to his computer.
It makes little sense to get this worked up about the game, personally I refuse to pay 30 dollars a month to get pissed off, when I feel myself gettin TOO worked up, I shut 'er down fer a while and go outside.

imo that is the only way you can do base defence.. untill they set up ground vec, maybe troops that shoot back and more options for ack this will still happen. but you can keep it from happing if you eather bring more c47s or cap the field better
realistic? maybe not, but a game (or sim) will never be compleatly realistic.read AKDejaVu post and ask your self if you want all of those in a game? some times to make something playable you have to take some of the realisism you have to remove.
But i think HT and crew are doing a great job. this sim is getting better and better everyday thay are allways working on it
no one is forcing you to play or pay its all up to you. if you dont like the game then dont play!!!

BTW: I've read the Yanks use p39:s as a ground MG/cannon turrets in somewhere pacific when Japanese forces were too close to catch their airfield. Pilot jumped in cockpit and ground troops turned plane against attacking forces (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif)

unlike WB, when you pound a base flat here aircraft can still takeoff from it, right?
but you nor anyone else seems to mind that you can capture an enemy airbase by dropping 10 dips with Garands on it? or that the local ADA seems to be radar-controlled Vulcans? Or, etc,etc, ya get the picture,
it ain't realistic, wasn't really billed to be,or meant to be. If it's fun, fly. If not,you need to be someplace fun. HTC has an idea of what they want to offer, and I don't think they'll change that idea anytime soon.
A lot of guys lately seem to be getting bent outta shape over a lot of minor things (and some serious ones) It's a game folks, one is supposed to play for fun and recreation, if it was supposed to be bad attitude, drag yore bellybutton in cussin',constantly squeakin' for no good reason. It'd be work, and HTC would be paying us. (Hmm, might be something in that)

My one or two engagements with JoeMud were....less than cool. I anticipate a 14 year old, with daddy's credit card. Although, it might be the other way around. He shows a lack of respect to folks, and wants everything his way. What really bothers me, is the fact that he still exists in the real world. Joe, get help and counceling. This is, afterall, just a game.
We all want to see you succeed, and be happy here. I, for one, want to understand why you act the way you do. I am serious. My video is fried, and I cant even fly, other than HI RES....which is mostly porked.
Consider your experience here, and your actions and responses. Maybe, ya might see the light. I hope so.

This thread is a perfect insight read of the various personalities in AH which kinda cool actually. Including my rubbish. Check it out -
Joemud gets pissed off (again), throws out a post in anger. Not uncommon here, probably expected. Only a GOOD game can fire up the folks that way so all is good. Like Joe would quit anyway.
Can 'Ol boy vent and have people ignore it? Appearently not. And the wolves commence to pounce, which is OK too. I think they should. But, some of the suggestions from " get counceling" to "quit" is a bit more noteworthy than a simple heated post by Joe.
There are all kinds of responces, and man are they appropriate for the guys that make em.
Some guys say "ahhh, relax Joe", some go into long profiles on how labor-management interaction on human relations effect the community, blah blah blah, some tell it just the way it is (Fatty, go figure!) some just tell him to crap in his hat and see if in fact one size fits all, and others encourage him to QUIT.
I don't understand the last one, but it's a opinion I guess. Damn hard for HTC to update the game and make money if the hotter headed players are pushed out. Not only do you lose the guys you love to kill, but player base. That doesn't seem right.
My take on it is Joe is still one of the best pilots in the game,(top 100 for sure) and colorful too. Sit in on a RW session, you'll get to know the kid. If we all just hugged and Saluted everyone all the time it would take the fun out of competing. He has no problem firing out the BS on the open channel, yup, but isnt there a squelch command?
Bottom line is the reason multiPLAYER games are so much fun is there are many diffrent people online. Killing a nice and quiet AI pilot who doesn't get mad as hell at you on open chat sucks, kinda like hitting holes in one on a golf course all by yourself with noone to see it.
I say cancel the shrink sessions for Joe, he sounds like a 15 year old kid who is having fun and competing hard. Nothin wrong with that. Christ with his gun collection, he BETTER be a normal 15 yr old kid!
Check for a pair of 205's at yer 6 next week men. See all you Pacific time-zoners then.

It's a game like any other with an inside view of what a plane would look like. To treat it more than that is only going to get you more angry and cause you to want to quit more. There's bombers that dive and climb like fighters for pete's sake. Take it easy and treat it as a game and up a new plane when you get hit man. Hope you think about it before just walking away. Not to many kids your age even play a game like this and hold interest. :salute

It's a game like any other with an inside view of what a plane would look like. To treat it more than that is only going to get you more angry and cause you to want to quit more. There's bombers that dive and climb like fighters for pete's sake. Take it easy and treat it as a game and up a new plane when you get hit man. Hope you think about it before just walking away. Not to many kids your age even play a game like this and hold interest. :salute
