Hola everyone.
I crash to the desktop everytime I try to get into an online arena. This doesn't happen when playing offline. I've been able to get into the online arena twice, both times after leaving the game I was unable to get back into the arena (more crashes to desktop). The first time I got in was right after installing, seemed to work fine. After that, desktop. Changed AGP aperature and changed drivers and was able to get back in again, once, then more desktop. I've tried changing drivers and lowering AGP aperature back to 64, but can't get in again.
System Specs:
P4 1.5
ABIT TH7111 MB Intel 850 Chipset
512 MB RAMBUS
98SE
MSI 8822 w/ GEForce 3 64MB
Soundblaster PCI512
Also using CH F16 Fighterstick and CH pedals (which probably doesn't matter, they both seem to work fine offline, and online the 2 times I was able to get online).
I'm using the latest drivers for the soundcard (which are almost 3 years old) and 23.11 detonators. Any and all help is appreciated.

Problems when only online? Eug.... what is your IRQ disrtibution like? Is it possible you have a network card or modem sharing with your video card? That would suck. Do you have DX 8.1 installed? If not, do that first.
Go to Start | Programs | Accessories | System Tools | System Information. Expand the Hardware Resources node on the left, and then select the Conflicts/Sharing node. See if anything shows up as a conflict. If not, just to be safe, check the IRQ node and paste your IRQ distribution into a message here so we can have a look.
Now, IF that is not the problem, there are some other things you can try:
Set your AGP apeture size to 128 in BIOS.
Gand get Detonator Destroyer and wipe out your current Dets. http://www.guru3d.com/detonator-destroyer/
Then, try backing up to the 21.81 WHQL Detonators. Different sites seem to be of differing opinions on which ones are WHQL and which ones are not between the 21.81's and the 21.83's.
http://www.guru3d.com/files/detonator/ Go with the 21.81's with the big smiley faces, as I think that means folks have been having good luck with that version.
Most importantly... if you get a set of Detonators that work, DO NOT "upgrade" them. nVidia's later model detonators have been having some stability troubles from what I'm seeing here... so when you get a set that works, stick with them!

It seems the system information program is crashing when I try to look at anything you asked for. I suppose I'm going to format and reinstall Windows unless anyone has seen this problem before. *sigh*

It may be a simple conflict, lets check a couple of things first.
First, what PCI cards do you have, and what slots are they in?
Dig out your ABIT manual and see what slots are sharing.
If you have anything in the PCI slot closest to your AGP slot, that would be very bad, as that slot normally shares with the AGP slot your video card is in.

Only PCI card I have is the SB 512, originally had it in slot 3, just changed it to 2 with no difference. AGP shares with slots 1 and 5 on this MB. Slot 2 is sharing with LAN and AC97 (built in sound). Slot 3 shares with HPT370 and USB2. I just put this system together a couple of weeks so I've had this users manual handy. =)

Just to let you know, I reinstalled windows and all my problems seem to have cleared up. If anything else comes up I'll be back. Thanks for the help anyway. =)

Ok, but if you only have one PCI card in that board, it sounds like slot 4 is the place for it, being the only one that doesn't share with something else. :)
Glad you got everything sorted out.
