That really is bad news.
There aren't many real country musicians left these days. Most all of them just go for image / good looks and a pop song that they call "country". I was introduced to country music by my dad 25 years ago. I couldn't stand the sound of it then but it grew on me. I remember hearing a bluegrass act at opryland when I was a kid. Dad was mesmerized by it. I just thought it was noise. As an adult now, I can appreciate it even though I'm not a bluegrass fan. Same with Waylon, never was a big fan, but I can appreciate him, Johnny Cash, Merle Haggard, etc. because they were their own men. Uniqueness, not just the cookie cutter gay music they have now.

One of the coolest songs/ballads (imo) is "Highway Man" from Jennings, Cash, Haggard and Nelson :(
