Its true, edit: Doh, pics are with the story.  Anyway, one of the CO's (high brass guys) sent me these photos via McChord AFB last year, maybe two years ago. He's AF but associated with Whidby island personal.

So what happened? There must have been some sort of investigation into the incident no?
