Title: Book Reviews
Post by: Gixer on February 16, 2002, 08:18:29 PM
I'm Sure most of you like me enjoy reading a good book especially those on aviation. I've recently finished 3 excellent books so good infact to make it worth while to post.

Two are by Derek Robinson, Piece of Cake and Goshawk Squadron and are the best accounts of fictional air war that I've ever come across.

Third is by Donald L Caldwell JG26 Top Guns of the Luftwaffe and is an excellent account of the operations of JG26 during the war.

Reviews of these books can be read on Amazon

The best book about WW2 that I've read to date has to be "Forgotten Soldier" by Guy Sajer. Its about a French kid fighting on the eastern front with the Germans. Incredible, but my second read through it leaves me wondering...is it credible?

btw, this thread should be in O'club or History sections of this UBB :)
