Hi rip,
Fradim has a site, www.grandeavenida.com/fps (http://www.grandeavenida.com/fps) There is a link to an AH page with a protocol for benchmarking and a table of results. He deserves a lot of credit for his efforts and more folks should take the time to benchmark their machines and submit results.(that means me too since I upgraded  (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif) ) This could and should be an excellent resource for evaluating performance of their present machine and informing any future purchases of hardware.
That said, I think weneedto develope a better protocol than the one described there and we need to bump heads a liitle to do it right. IMHO opening the clipboard has the effect of flattening the results to the lo end too much. Check it out and see what you think.
