Title: The 352nd FG Assoc. Needs Your Support

The Veterans of the 352nd Fighter Group Association have started a formal petition asking that Pope AFB be renamed to Pope-Preddy AFB. The Preddy brothers were from that area (North Carolina) and both lost their life towards the end of WWII over Europe. The most famous of the two was George who finished the war as the highest scoring Mustang ace (27 aerial victories) only to be shot down by friendly ground fire chasing a 190 on Christmas Day, 1944.
