Title: CH Joystick Spiking
Post by: Minotaur on February 19, 2002, 03:14:05 PM
Flight Gear is practically new, less than one year old.  All CH products and all are USB.

Joystick (F-16 Combat Stick) - Spikes on Y-Axis
Throttle (Pro Throttle) - Spikes

I am asking for advice about what I should do.  I am sure that some one probably has dealt with CH products before concerning spiking.

The nose bounce drives me crazy.

Thanks in advance.

Mino when you look at the scope in joystick setup can you see the spikes there, and do you have any unusual setting for your roll, pitch etc ? If you can see the spikes in the scope setup try calibrating your equip in contro manager, if that dont help contact CH if your equip is near new 3 yrs for the stick 1 yr for the pro throttle CH will fix or replace them.

Also, go to the joystick option in the control panel and disable "poll with interrupt", that should help.

If the spiking is caused by the potentiometers you'll need to clean or replace them to fix it. This should be your last option though. Best thing is contact CH and let them fix it.
