Hi all,
I have taken a notice on how HiTech and gang have been modeling some planes that Warbirds has not done. Ex. Macci, B-26, La-5. I know the P-38 is coming out(its expected of any reputable WWII sim to have one) and a rumor of a Lancaster and Typhoo(hopfully Tempest also some time). Below is a list of ODD planes that are not modeled that I hope HiTech is thinking about.
F7F TigerCat(did not see action BUT was in transit to the front)
P47N/M
P63 KingCobra
Il-2 Stormavik
Ju188
Ju88G-1
Heinkel He 177A-5/R2
Do 335
Heinkel He 219
P-61
a-26 or B-25 Stafer nose(8 50s)
Please add more of ODD aircraft that have not modeled.

Since you adding some very late war USAF models, how about mentioning LW's latest and prob finest Ta152? The only thing I have in my head at the moment, but I can come up with more when I get home (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/wink.gif)
Btw, to say the truth I don't think many of those plane son the list. For example, Il2 is pretty much useless in today's AH. Others like P47M seen only limited action and addition of these super planes will only degrade fun, as people will be forced to fly this planes in order to survive. On the other hand, if arena with plane rotation will be intorduced (or plane will be available in historical scenario only), these planes will be fun to fly.

The P47M wouldn't be that bad of a killer, IMHO.
The problem with the Jug is that you get these flight models that use statistical curves and follow those, rather then modeling the airflow over the wing and shape of the aircraft. Therefore, the Jug always gets the short end of the stick. If there's gonna be a thunderbolt, it has to be the M.
End of story.

Ditto what Dolomite said. I will jump up and down when Hitech gets a pac theater going complete with a good variety of American and Japanese fighters, dive bombers and torpedo bombers.

It would massacre bombers and any fighters that it could "bounce", but in a "fair fight" the Do-335 would possibly be too unmanoeuverable to survive very long. Sounds rather like a prop-driven Me262 really...

My understanding was the DO-335 was a good buff interceptor but not very maneuverable.
Just very very fast. It was intended to intercept B-29's that the Axis thought would soon be coming over to Europe to be used against them.
It would have been a tough nugget to bust.
Of course the P47M and N would have had a filed day with them but then again it's tough to shoot something down that ic trying to avoid you so they can get at the buffs.
I have a friend who did a painting for a an aircraft model company making a DO-335 plastic model. I have a scan but no website
to post it on to show you here. It is *very* nice. And the oil paiting is very much for sale.
