Title: What do you think the 3 ships are?

Just throwing this question out there about the 3 ships in the CVTG.

What are they?

Well the CV is easy, it's the Aircraft Carrier

But what about the other 2 ships?

DE and CA

I'm thinking that the the CA is a Battleship and the DE is the Destroyer.

Any thoughts?

Correct, which can be used as a ship in the barge convoy, if you set it as barge and send it up a river:)

I was just finishing up a small file of the shpfilter, where I was giving a small description of each item.

Actually, the CA is a Cruiser.

Thanks for straighting me out Superfly.

Your answer came at the right time.  

I'm just finishing up a small shpfilter description file ( complete with viewable shapes ) and I wanted to give as many correct descriptions as possible.

that should be DD not DE mostly DE were escorts for merchant  ships or non fleat units, DD were fully fledged destroyers, and typicaly used for screaning of CV's although DE did do this as well.

Thanks for the reply brady.

In the terrain editor there are 6 ships in the CVTG1 task group.   1 - CV,  1 - CA  and  4 - DE.

CV = Aircraft Carrier
CA = Cruiser ( or is it really a BattleCruiser  :D  )
DE = Destroyer ( I'm assuming, since Superfly didn't correct me )

Its no big deal anyway.
