Title: runtime error

everytime i quit the game, when i come back and restart it.
i get a runtime error   abnormal shutdown.

i have win 98SE
abit k7 raid MB
900mhz athlon t-bird
294 megs of pc133 sddram mem.
SB live 5.1 x-gamer
logitech wingman JS and CH pedals

For what it's worth, I just started getting this error this weekend. I am deleting and reinstalling AH. I hope that fixes it. I also hope 1.09 gets here soon as V1.08 has been anything but stable for me.

Do either of you have Roger Wilco installed?  If you do... remove it at least temporarily and see if that fixes things.

Something else you can try is installing or re-installing DX 8.1 and then updateing or re-installing your sound and video drivers right afterwards.  If you are running an nVidia card be sure to stick to WHQL certified drivers and stay away from the 23.11's.

thx lep  i will do just that and yes i do have RW installed
