I want the P-38H if we ever get a early model P-38.. The P-38H
Has a 3400fpm climb rate at SL. It is some 1400 pounds lighter than the L model. It has the same Allsions as the early J model. Sleeker and more streamlined looks more like the XP-38. And since it has sleeker lines it shoud have better accel. (not sure tho everything points that way.) And should be a dream to fly and probly very few pilots will ever fly it. Since it would not have boosted alierons and not dive flaps..Hehehhe Fester and a few others would fly it everyday. So what early model 38 yall want??

An H or a G would be dreamy. Especially if it were in 11th AF markings. :p

Yes it would be nice to have another P38 model. I would prefer the P38J in the colors of the 82nd FG
dgator out!

Paint the current one green and get rid of the boosted aleirons.. a few lbs lighter.. VOILA! You got an early J model.
Take that early J, give it another greenish paint scheme, lower its engine power.. voila! F G or H model.

hehehehe Tac the H model had the same V-1710-89/91 Allsions as the early J model (I think the later J and L models to) But it was lighter and had sleeker lines. And it didn't have the "Beard" the J and L models had.

The H model, painted as Jack Ilfrey's "Texas Terror" or Erv Ethell's "Tangerine".
