Sorry.

Maybe so but FDBs are doing it with style.
-
so what?.
You'll never beat a FDB in killing chutes :D
-
Immel cast his bait into the depth of the seas, where hungry fish are lurking. I think I see a nibble.....
ATC ;)
-
LOL! :) That just means you'll fit in here just fine.
Its always funny until the new guys learn about HALO jumps ;)
-
Ahhh, welcome brother Immel!
SOB
-
Well that is one major hurdle to enjoying the game out of the way.

Hrm. F D B ? Enlighten me please. A squad ? secret band of brothers with a silk fetish ? Fug Da Bailers ? Fry Dem Babies ?
I'd really like to know.

(Nothing more rewarding than killing the guy during the free fall, before he pulled the chute. Small target though.)
-
Fat Drunk Bastards. These guys would fit right in ... errr .... you know where. ;)
-
Pilots in silk anywhere near the battle should be shot due to the check six calls they give everyone else while hangin in silk, and the fact that they still have their radio to communicate any enemy action in their general vicinity. HOWEVER, if they open their chute low enough, and .EF immediately, then their lifes are spared. :D
Kill em all!

What Ripsnort said!!
Well, unless they are over water. In that case I always shoot em to spare them from even a miniscule run in with......
They can take a man down to the bone in the amount of time a pirhana takes to even think "OH! LUNCH!!"
-
LOL Westy :)
-
"im a rebel chute shooter!!"
You would fit in well with the attention starved FDBs
Ive gotten more kills in a chute than deaths buy chute shooters.
I like to shoot chutes my self, but i dont go out of my way to make sure the bastard dies.
Besides the cloth chutes have more armor than the glass assed p38 does, dont they?
-
The only time I shot a chute was a Niki pilot who insulted me because I was runing away in my P47.
I came back for him, shot him down, shot his chute, destroyed his base by straffing.
Insulting a P47 from a Niki is clearly an indication that you are new to AH, it's like runing naked in the MA with a bilboard on your head : "I'm new, how do I lower the landing gear to land?". (BTW, it's a stupid question, you will never land).
AW guys, you got the idea, shooting chute is poor sportmanship, it may be fun, but as far as I'm concern it's ruining the athmosphere/image of the game. :)

And your opinion of those hanging in chutes, giving their country info, intel, and giving check six calls from a position without an airframe or GV?
IMO, ruining the game as much as the Chute shooter. :)
-
First, welcome AW folks.
Now, for the new guys here’s the deal. When your plane is damaged to the point of being unflyable, hit <enter> 3 times to bail. Then –- and this is the important part-—immediately press <o> to open the cute. Time is of the essence. I suggest mapping these keys to your stick.
Do not, under any circumstances, wait until you are close to the ground to open the chute. This is especially important if there are enemy bishop planes in the area. If your plane is at low altitude when damaged, try to pull up some before bailing.
By following these simple guidelines, your bail out experience will be as enjoyable and rewarding as possible.

Can you nail the guy in freefall in AH ? In AW it was possible.
(just a question, for no particular reason)

No Ripsnort, you know that's it's just an excuse to tolerate such a behaviors. Those guys will not hang for ever.
But I agree with you, when they are on the ground, treat them as spy, <scouick>.... not for the 30 sec they hang on their chute.
-
"treat them as spy, <scouick>.... not for the 30 sec they hang on their chute.
Well the transceiver they still have use of would normally have been left behind in that plane they just jumped out of. IMO Ripsnort is only suggesting one means of replicating a realistic and complete loss of communications. A very good method imo and one even I would highly recommend until such time as HTC can implement a true loss of radio comms when any pilot is hanging in the silk. ;)

Last night I saw a guy sitting in the water off of A45 for 'bout 10 minutes..no doubt he was giving check 6 calls to his countrymates. So, after sinking both their Carrier and Battleship in my PT :D I cruised over to him to kiil him, 2 of his country mates tried to stop me but they fell prey to my PT also. So for me, anybody that bails at more than 500 feet or sits on the ground for more than a second or two is fair game IMO

Ifluff'n when my gunnery gits gud enuf, I will shot them all. Gotta have some cheese with that whina yanaw.

I am a rabid NON chute shooter myself. I don't waste the ammo, altitude and often position and I personally see it as a matter of disrespect. However, I also DON'T complain about being chute shot (though I did in the past.) Also, it's great fun to watch some moron lawn dart while wasting his time shooting at your chute.
Just my opinions. It's a game. A game that I love and have been playing for since December 1999. I used to have caniption fits (spelling) about being shot in a shute. I don't see it as a big deal now but I don't do it myself.
